2026 Pillings Pond Foundation 5K Road Race — June 21, 2026

Our flagship fundraising event, part of Lynnfield's 250th Anniversary of America Celebration. Starting and finishing at Town Hall with music, awards, t-shirts, and community spirit.

Boat Launch Repair

Restoring the public boat launch to improve safe access to the pond. PPF funding materials, Groundmasters donating labor. Coordinating with the Conservation Commission and DPW.

Rotary Park Spring Beautification

Planting flowers and plants at Rotary Park with donated labor from Groundmasters and potential cost-sharing with the Rotary Club of Lynnfield.

Hazard Marker Buoys

Installing navigation buoys at key pond locations including rocks and sandbars near the center to improve on-water safety for all users.

Water Quality Monitoring & Improvement

Researching SolarBee aerator systems and pursuing the Massachusetts State Water Quality Improvement Grant. Water quality in July–August 2025 was excellent.

Fishing Dock at Rotary Park

A new permanent fishing dock at Rotary Park running parallel to the shore — a dedicated public fishing destination for children and adults. We are researching design concepts and engaging dock designers. A "Donate Now" campaign will launch to fund construction.

Guided public pontoon rides on the pond giving residents who don't own boats a chance to experience Pillings Pond from the water.

An organized community fishing derby focused on introducing young anglers to the joys of fishing on Pillings Pond's excellent panfish and bass waters.

Partnering with the Boys & Girls Club to offer kayak rentals on Pillings Pond, making the water accessible to community members who don't own equipment.
