Pillings Pond Foundation, Inc. — 501(c)(3) — Lynnfield, Massachusetts
The Pillings Pond Foundation is governed by a dedicated volunteer Board of Directors — all committed members of the Lynnfield community with a shared passion for preserving and improving Pillings Pond.
Antonio Sordillo is President of the Board and Founder of the Pillings Pond Foundation. A lifelong Massachusetts resident, Antonio grew up in the community and graduated from Malden Catholic High School in 2000, then attended Suffolk University and Merrimack College, earning his degree in 2005.
Antonio is a Certified Financial Planner™ and one of the principal founders of Evergreen Financial Partners of Raymond James, where he provides comprehensive financial guidance to families and business owners.
Deeply committed to his community, Antonio served on the Pillings Pond Sub-Committee before founding PPF, acting as the eyes and ears for the Lynnfield Conservation Commission on all matters related to the pond's health and preservation. Outside of his work, Antonio can often be found boating on Pillings Pond, biking around Lynnfield, or skiing at Loon Mountain.
Christopher DeCarlo joined the board of the Pillings Pond Foundation in 2024. He graduated from the Massachusetts School of Law in 2013 and works as a Captain with the Lynnfield Police Department.
Christopher has been involved with several nonprofit committees over the years and has helped organize a variety of charitable events in the community. He brings a genuine passion for public service and local involvement to his role with the Foundation.
Bryan Last serves as a Board Member of the Pillings Pond Foundation, bringing with him a deep passion for the outdoors and a lifetime of hands-on experience with the natural environment. As the founder of GroundMasters Corp., a respected land and hardscape company, Bryan has built his career around a love of plants, grass, trees, and water.
An avid hockey player since childhood and former Stonehill College player, Bryan now enjoys spending winter days on the ice with his two sons. In the warmer months, he and his family can often be found boating on Pillings Pond or heading out on fishing adventures — so deep that Bryan has even appeared on National Geographic for his offshore fishing expeditions.
Each year, Bryan volunteers his time to maintain Rotary Park on Summer Street by the public dock, carefully tending to the shoreline, grass, and native wetland plantings.
Bryce Foote serves as a Board Member and Treasurer of the Pillings Pond Foundation. A longtime Lynnfield resident and prior abutter to Pillings Pond, he is equally dedicated to public service, serving on the Lynnfield Conservation Commission since 2021.
As a pharmacist, Bryce is an accomplished Medical Affairs leader with more than 15 years of experience driving medical strategy, evidence generation, and stakeholder engagement across the biopharmaceutical industry. Known for translating complex science into actionable insights, he has led successful product launches, authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, and presented at premier scientific meetings in nephrology, infectious diseases, and hepatology.
Stephen Ventre is a board member of the Pillings Pond Foundation and a Lynnfield resident for 15 years, living by the pond for 9 years. He is dedicated to preserving the community's natural resources.
With over 30 years as a PGA Professional, he emphasizes a collaborative leadership style.
His goals for the Foundation focus on restoring Pillings Pond's health, including cleanup, dredging efforts, and ensuring the water is safe for swimming, while fostering community engagement around the pond.
The Pillings Pond Foundation works alongside dedicated community partners who share our commitment to the pond and Lynnfield.
GroundMasters generously donates labor for PPF capital improvement projects including boat launch repair, plantings, and shoreline work. Founded by board member Bryan Last, their partnership is invaluable to our mission.
The Rotary Club is a key partner in Rotary Park beautification and the proposed Fishing Dock at Rotary Park. PPF and Rotary are exploring cost-sharing arrangements for multiple projects.
The Conservation Commission, led by Emilie Cadematori, works with PPF on permitting, project approvals, and environmental stewardship of the pond and its surroundings.
PPF coordinates with the Department of Public Works on infrastructure projects including boat launch repair and related pond access improvements.
